      <image:title>About me</image:title>
<image:caption>Jeremy Webb has been a registered Osteopath since 2007 a sports Injury therapist and personal trainer since 1999. A keen sportsman himself he represented England at basketball in his teens but now a little older tends to spend more time on the sedentary fairways of the golf course! He always thought this interest in sports would lead to him being driven towards a rehabilitation based practice. However during his training and in the early years of his practice the broad benefits of Osteopathy became more and more obvious. General practice really is the place to make a real difference to people lives. “I feel very fortunate to be able to help people on a daily basis.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>About me - Qualifications and regulation</image:title>
<image:caption>Osteopaths undertake a four year BSc degree programme, on completion of their theory degree they must then pass their final clinical competency exam to be able to practice. Once in practice they must complete 30 hrs of CPD (continued professional development) per year. Osteopaths are regulated by the GOsC (General Osteopathic Council). This body holds a registered list of people who have met the required standards to practice Osteopathy. The title ‘Osteopath’ is protected by UK law.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Tobias Keene, D.D.S. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. <image:title>About Osteopathy - Structure governs function</image:title>
<image:caption>A key Osteopathic principle is ‘structure governs function’, for your body to work well it’s structure must be sound. Osteopaths work to restore your body to a state of balance, where possible without the use of drugs or surgery.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Osteopathy - How does it work?</image:title>
<image:caption>Osteopaths use touch (palpation), physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues therefore enhancing the body’s own healing mechanisms. They will usually provide advice on posture and exercise to help aid recovery and promote health and prevent future injury.</image:caption>

<image:title>What to expect - What happens at the appointment?</image:title>
<image:caption>At your initial appointment (which would usually last around 60 minutes) I will be asking questions relating to your presenting complaint, medical history, lifestyle and leisure activities. This will enable me to diagnose your problem and prescribe an appropriate treatment plan. Which we will begin on the initial consultation and may include subsequent treatments (which are around 30-45 minutes). Everything will be explained so you fully understand and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask any questions. I recommend that you wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. As you may be required to undress to your underwear, please ensure you wear something comfortable and appropriate.</image:caption>
